Ronnie Doyle – Whilst at Boarding School in Dublin I was introduced to the French Impressionists. This opened up the world of Art for me. However the need to qualify as a surveyor took up all my time. It was not until a holiday in Italy, with my wife Lindy, that my interest was reawakened. I then joined the Mannin Art Group.
I am self taught in watercolour. Of living artists my main influences are David Curtis (UK) and Joseph Zbukvic (Australia; born Crotia). Deceased Artists include Edward Seago, Edward Wesson and Manx artist Toni Onley.
I am passionate about light and shade. Colour comes a close second, ideal when painting buildings.
